There are three ways you can support us: Prayer, Financial Donations, and Getting Involved.

Prayer Support

Ways you can pray: 

1. Remember the challenges of running a complex University in a country stricken with poverty, disease, and war.  Pray for stability and wisdom, but also be thankful that we have wonderful Ugandan and international colleagues who are committed to the mission of this University. 

2. Remember that day to day life in Uganda and 80 hour workweeks is hard.  Pray for rest, spiritual refreshment, and that our family continues to withstand stress, but also be thankful with us that we have the daily necessities and incredible blessings of home, health, water, and electricity that many Ugandans do not enjoy.

3. Remember that God's mission is not just to fulfill tasks or to do a job - God could do that himself.  Therefore, pray knowing that God unites us in His mission to so that, together, and across cultures, He can reveal himself and we can better know him - so that we may be His people, and we may be His God.

Financial Support 

It is also true that we need finances to sustain this work.  Pray for what God desires of you in this regard.  You can support us by making tax-deductible donations to our Mission Agency, SAMS-USA.  

SAMS-USA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization which complies with all governmental regulations. Additionally, SAMS is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). 

SAMS provides many ways to support us.  You can read more about ways to support us through donations to SAMS.  Options include: payment by credit card or PayPal, EFT forms for monthly or periodic giving, and sending checks.

The easy way:   Write a check.  Make it payable to SAMS-USA, note 'Doug and JoEllyn Fountain" on the memo line, mail it to SAMS, PO Box 399, Abridge, PA 15003.

Get Involved

Come see UCU and stay with us.   We often joke that the way to get to Uganda is fly to Europe, hang a right, and we meet you at the airport.   It's that easy.  OK, you probably want a few shots before you come, but even where we are is not so bad off disease-wise. 

Talk about us.  Mention us in your Sunday School classes, Bible Studies or Cell Groups.  Get your family's churches to know about UCU and what we are doing here.  

Just read up on what's going on here.   Simple awareness of life and circumstances in Africa is great.  We like to read the BBC website for Africa to keep up on issues.
