A school dance and other activities organized by Alyssa’s club have raised money for a partner school.
Alyssa chairs the Invisible Children project at her school. This project provides support for children in war-torn and highly impoverished Northern Uganda. The project is also part of the international “School to School” movement where schools in some areas partner with schools in others to provide support. This project targets a school in Gulu, in Northern Uganda. Alyssa founded the project and recruited students to participate. Students have already raised over $500 toward this initiative. |
