As part of the Administrative Review, the top leadership body at UCU (Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, and two others) went to Jinja for three days to consider how to adapt and alter management and leadership at UCU.

Doug led the retreat, facilitating discussion about issues such as organization development, conflict, life cycles of organizations, management processes and structures, and reorganization.

The spouses of cabinet members were invited to come for the first night, and on Sunday we shared a Holy Communion service.   Stephen Noll, Vice Chancellor, then offered some reflections on the University as he enters his final lap. 

There are a number of improvements to the University and its leadership that will be made clear in early 2010.

Doug was really excited to participate in this event, and to have a small part to play in thinking of the future of one of East Africa's foremost Universities!
